Unjust combines immersive performance and sonic art, with a multi-speaker setup encircling both performer and audience. Layered, looped, stretched, and warped, heavy vibrational material depicts the performer’s lived experience. It incorporates an exploration of Pallesthesia (the feeling of mechanical vibration on or in the body) which creates a sonic world that is unstable yet resonant.

By situating the performer close to the audience, Unjust balances intimacy and abstraction while immersing listeners in a sonic conflict. This depicts the wavering of power that people of colour face in society – the ebb and flow.
