See Me: Prison Theatre Workshops and Love - Book Launch

SEE ME; Prison Theater Workshops and Love is a new book from American Professor Jan Cohen-Cruz. It is a collection of intimate essays, each written by two or three people who connected profoundly in the temporary community that a prison theatre workshop can create.

The book features contributions from international projects including a chapter from Scotland co-written by Jess Thorpe (Lecturer in Arts in Justice, RCS) and George Fergusson (Prison Governor, SPS).

In this event George and Jess will read an extract from the book and engage in a dialogue with Jan around the role of creative practice in Scottish Prisons and the power of the Arts as act of community and connection.
