Scottish Young Musicians Competition

On Sunday 26 May, young people from across Scotland will be competing to be the Scottish Young Musician’s Solo Performer of the Year 2024.  The day will be presented by singer and broadcaster Jamie MacDougall and will also feature a performance by the winning Scottish Young Musicians Ensemble of the Year 2024.

The day will consist of 3 sessions will be adjudicated by internationally renowned musicians. Please find a draft schedule for the day below:

11.00 – Welcome and Session 1
12.20 – Lunch Break
13.00 – Session 2
14.30 – Afternoon Break
15.00 – Session 3
16.20 – Adjudicators Deliberation and Evening Break
17.00 – Scottish Young Musicians Ensemble of the Year 2024 Performance and Announcements of Winners
18.00 – Competition Close

Each competitor and Local Authority will be given an allocation of tickets for their use. Any remaining tickets will go on sale on Monday 6 May, the day after the final regional heat.
