Piano Festival: Nina Schumann

Nina Schumann has had Focal Dystonia since 2012 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2017, yet is still active as a concert pianist.

Almost one year ago a short documentary was made on Schumann’s preparation for a performance of the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2.  It is raw and unfiltered: no interviews were conducted and the filmmakers documented symptoms Nina was unaware of.

The screening is coupled with a talk and a performance from Nina.
