“I’ve known some of the Maxwell Quartet from their early school days and have been hugely impressed at how they have ascended the ladder of international musical prestige in recent years. They formed originally as four close friends, who grew up playing folk and classical music together in youth orchestras and music schools. Performing widely across Scotland, the quartet established a reputation for delighting audiences with their “unaffected enthusiasm” (North Highland Times) and their “panache and conviction” (Strathearn Herald). The Quartet has since established a reputation in many countries across the globe performing at the top festivals and concert halls. Cumnock is now also delighted to host them.”
