Culture Code Vol.2

Experience a musical-theatrical performance created by our students that brings Ukrainian culture and its 20th-century history to life.

Set in the mid-century period, the story unfolds around the discovery of a buried chest, preserving the cultural code of its owners. As the main characters explore the chest’s objects, they uncover the lives, traditions, and history of those who lived on this land before them.

Featuring a chamber ensemble, choir, and an ethno-baroque group, the music recreates the era’s atmosphere and immerses the audience in the spirit of the time. The programme will include music of Borys Lyatoshynsky, Vsevolod Zaderatsky, Mykola Kolessa, Théodore Akimenko and more.

This unique Student Session is a fresh, innovative format — combining music, history, and storytelling in a way that celebrates the resilience and richness of Ukrainian culture.
