Overview

Our RAD weekly ballet classes offer students an opportunity to receive expert tuition in a welcoming and supportive environment. They take place in our state-of-the-art ballet studios at the Royal Conservatoire’s Wallace Studios campus.

For Ballet, we offer classes in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) graded system. These classes offer young people the opportunity to learn to dance in a safe, structured way. Their achievements will even be recognised in the National Qualifications Framework.

Students have the opportunity to be presented for examinations.  Although these examinations are not compulsory, they are encouraged, as most students find them an enjoyable and positive experience. Dancers will be entered for exams when the class teachers feel that they are ready to progress to the next level and will be fully prepared for these special events. Examinations usually take place annually in June, although sessions may be scheduled at other times in the year.
