Mia Nicholas
Mia was born in Scotland and prior to training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland attended Scottish Ballet Junior and Senior Associates, and the Dance School of Scotland. Mia has thoroughly enjoyed her time at RCS and is grateful for the wonderful opportunities the BA Modern Ballet programme provided.
In her time at RCS Mia developed her technique and performance skills, and gained more confidence as a dancer. This was enhanced by the opportunity to work with Scottish Ballet and different choreographers, including Daniel Davidson, Maddy Squire and Constant Vigier.
Over the last three years, Mia participated in many performance opportunities, most notably Scottish Ballet’s winter tour of Cinders in 2023, where she spent five months with the company and took part in 61 performances. Mia also recently participated in a memorial performance for the Duchess of Buccleuch, at Boughton Hall, which she felt privileged to be part of. Mia has also been fortunate to assist with teaching at both RCS and Scottish Ballet’s Associate Programmes, helping to inspire the next generation of dancers.
In her time at RCS Mia thoroughly enjoyed learning from the programme faculty and would like to thank the wonderful teachers for all their help and encouragement, and for making learning so enjoyable. Mia gives a special thanks to Kerry Livingstone, who has been a great support since Mia attended Scottish Ballet Junior Associates.
Mia would like to thank her classmates for their support over the last three years and wishes them all the very best, as they embark on the next stage of their journey.
After graduating, Mia looks forward to moving to London where she will join the Acosta Advanced Training Hub.
