Hikaru Yoneyama
Hikaru Yoneyama was born in Shizuoka, Japan and started ballet at Ishihara ballet academy. At the ballet academy, she played the lead role of Lise in La Fille mal gardee. At the Shizuoka Prefectural Art Festival, she competed in a variation of Kitri’s friends from Don Quixote, and another year, she performed a variation of Gamzatti in a selection. She has thoroughly enjoyed her 3 years of training at RCS. She is extremely excited to be graduating with her bachelors in Modern Ballet this July.
During her time at RCS, she has benefited from the performance experiences throughout her 3 years,
including performing dances in collaboration with students from other departments on projects such as the Opera Project and Piano and Dance, as well as performing ballet pieces at Gleneagles. She has also enjoyed working with multiple professional choreographers.
Finally, she would like to thank her mum and dad for always being on her side and supporting her dream over the past three years.
Hikaru would also like to say big thank you to all of the staff for providing her with the excellent guidance and knowledge.
