Devon Martirez y McFarland
Devon is very excited to be graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BA in Modern Ballet this July. He moved from San Fransisco to Glasgow to enhance his training vocationally and has thoroughly enjoyed his 3 years at the Conservatoire.
Devon Martirez y McFarland is from San Francisco, California. He trained at Berkeley Ballet Theatre and Idyllwild Arts Academy. He attended summer courses at Ballet Austin, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and the Royal Danish Ballet. Devon played prominent and main roles in Rowan McGregor‘s West Side Story, Mark Bruce’s Temptation, and Nicholas Shoesmith‘s Myriapod, to mention a few. In his graduate year, he had the privilege to work with Scottish Ballet for their winter season production of The Nutcracker. He would like to say a big thank you to his family and teachers who have supported his journey and encouraged him to follow his passions.
He is excited to be starting his professional career with Sacramento Ballet as a second company artist after graduating with his Bachelor’s in Modern Ballet in July.
