David Hare

David is an actuary with over 35 years of post-qualification experience, a Past President of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a past member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Board for Actuarial Standards. The bulk of his executive career was with UK insurance companies, culminating in being Chief Actuary for one of the largest UK life insurers.

Following several years as a partner at Deloitte, David now has a portfolio of non-executive director and governance committee chair roles with UK insurance and pension providers.  He is a non-executive director and Chair at abrdn Life and Pensions Limited, a non-executive director and Chair of the Actuarial Committee at Vitality and an Independent Governance Committee Chair at Phoenix.

He is a keen pianist, organist and dog walker.
