New Zealand/British Tenor Aidan Thomas Phillips is currently studying at the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying under Iain Paton. Aidan was a student at the New Zealand Opera School (2020-2022), and studied both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Waikato Conservatorium of Music where he was the recipient of a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship, and graduated in 2023 with BMus (Hons) and MMus (Hons) in Classical Vocal Performance. In the 2024/25 season Aidan will debut the roles of Filippo (L’infedelta delusa/RCS) and Tamino (Die Zauberflöte/RCS).
Aidan transitioned from High Baritone to Tenor in 2023 and is excited for all the new roles and challenges this will present.
