The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland hosts a variety of open days, admissions and department events, providing opportunities to get to know what life is like studying at RCS — a place Like Nowhere Else. We also attend a lot of external events across the country, so please come and say hello if you are attending. More information on where to find us is listed below.

Bachelor of Education – Online Information Session

MEd in Learning & Teaching in the Arts Discovery Session

MA Psychology in the Arts (Music) Discovery Session

Music Open Day – Undergraduate & Postgraduate. Thursday 15 May 2025, 10am – 5pm, Renfrew Street Campus.

  • All performance pathways at Undergraduate and Masters level will be covered in this open day.
  • Registration will be available closer to the event date
  • Please note, do not book any travel or accommodation until you have received a confirmation email from the recruitment team. If we reach capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list and an update email will be sent accordingly.

School of Drama, Dance, Production and Film Open Days


Our Drama, Dance, Production and Film open days have finished for the current year, however some of our programmes will be running online Q&A sessions for those who may have missed out but still have questions about the programmes and the admissions process.

Our Drama programmes will also be running free workshops in New York if you are considering applying to RCS but would like to meet our team before auditioning.

BA Musical Theatre Audition Prep / Acting Through Song Workshop, Thursday 23 January 2025, Ripley Grier 520 8th Ave Studio 16FG, New York, NY, USA

This workshop will enable participants to refine some of their existing audition material, working with and observing RCS staff and alumni, focusing on their individual strengths, their unique artistry and potential. Delivered by Emily Reutlinger.

BA Acting Workshop, Friday 24 January 2025, Ripley Grier 305 West 38th St. # 302, New York, NY, USA

Join us for an Acting workshop with Mercy Ojelade (Interim Associate head of Department) and John Kazek (Lecturer). This Workshop will give you an introduction into our teaching practice and allows you to ask questions about the course and who we are.

Admissions Events

New dates/times to be announced soon! Get an overview of RCS and learn about our course offerings, admissions and audition processes, fees and funding, student support, and more. Ask questions of the admissions team and take a virtual walkthrough of the facilities.

Distance Learning Discovery Events

Our distance learning programmes offer a series of free online Discovery Sessions exploring various questions around a variety of central themes. By taking part in these sessions, lead by the course leaders, you’ll experience how these programmes challenge you to reflect on your ideas, believes and professional development priorities. After registering for a session, you will receive confirmation email letting you know how to join the meeting.
