We are delighted to be partnering with Nimbus Disability to offer the RCS Digital Access Pass and the national Access Card scheme.

Pass/Card holders are able to:

  • Book tickets at a discounted rate of 50%

  • View and book wheelchair spaces online

  • Book a free essential companion seat where required

What is the RCS Digital Access Pass Scheme?

Designed to streamline the process of communicating your access needs, the RCS Digital Access Pass is a free way of conveying your access requirements with us. This gives you access to discounted tickets, and allows you to book wheelchair spaces and essential companions online. The pass is valid for 3 years.

You also have the option to upgrade to the nationally recognised Access Card (£15 for 3 years), which serves as a recognised proof of your requirements, eliminating the need for repeated explanations at different venues. This recognition is crucial in building a more inclusive environment, as it encourages venues and service providers to be proactive in their accessibility efforts. The card not only supports your individual needs but also contributes to a broader movement towards better accessibility for all.

How do I apply?

The RCS Digital Access Pass scheme is free to join. Applying for the RCS Digital Access Pass is straightforward and quick. Follow the guided process to provide the necessary information, and soon you’ll have a tool that can transform how you navigate various venues and services.

What is the difference between an Access Card and an RCS Digital Access Pass?

The Access Card is a universal way of conveying your access requirement with organisations and ticketing systems in the UK and beyond.

Access Cards are £15 for 3 years and can be used at thousands of venues and events. You can view the Access Card directory here https://www.accesscard.online/find-a-provider/

An RCS Digital Access Pass is a free way of conveying your access requirements with us. You still go through the same process, but receive a confirmation email with your Digital Access Pass number but no physical card. It lasts for 3 years and you can always upgrade to a full Access Card at any point.

Why is the process changing and how does this benefit me?

This will enable us to fully understand the access requirements of our customers and provide reasonable adjustments, such as access to certain seating and essential companion tickets.

Nimbus is a Social Enterprise that has received international recognition for operating the Access Card Scheme. Nimbus is run by, and for, disabled people. The system offers greater privacy, as disabled people with access requirements will no longer need to carry supporting documents or explain circumstances to staff. You’ll only need to supply information once to the Nimbus team, who can then issue you with an Access Card or an RCS Digital Access Pass reference number – depending on which route you choose when signing up.

Our commitment to accessibility remains unchanged. Our friendly team is still here to support you if you have any questions or need assistance. For further support, please email boxoffice@rcs.ac.uk, or call on 0141 332 5057 (Text Relay 18002 0141 332 5057).

RCS are proud of our commitment to diversity, inclusivity and widening access, and we value and respect the identity of each individual.

We aim to consistently be a welcoming and inclusive environment.  If there are any improvements you feel we can make please contact us:
